Xmas Treez
Xmas Treez Display and Merchandising
DISPLAY AREA
* Have a specific area to display for full impact. It may be the
shop window, it may be at store entry as a welcome display, a well
lit back corner to pull customers all the way to the back of the
store or it could be near the counter to encourage spenders to be
more inspired. Make sure it is well lit!
*offer colour co-ordinated starter packs of fabrics for each pattern
instead of or as well as specific kits. Offer them either in the
pattern colours or your sample colours.
DISPLAY IDEAS
*Its obvious isn’t it? Decorate with a Xmas Theme!
*Decorate one tree or a lot of trees with; fabric cuts or yardage,
buttons, ribbons, braids and charms.
*Follow a colour theme. It could be traditional but it certainly
doesn’t have to be. Try; red & white
lime & magenta
blue & green
cream & blue
black & gold
teal & yellow.
hot pink & yellow
it will make your store look fresh and interesting.
*It would be easy to make three dimensional Xmas Treez; Cut out
and make up two treez, no trunkz, no backgrounds. Stitch in the
tinsel. Place the treez face together and trim to the same size.
Stitch leaving a turning gap where the trunkz should be. Turn face
out and stuff lightly. Insert a stick in the gap - hot glue may
help to stabilise it. These would be great hung as decorations or
sitting in pots or oasis/foam.
Prezziez can be made the same way, stick less of course, and would
be lovely stitched together as a garland.
*Napkin Recipez uses the Xmas Treez block in ‘Sunday Roast’.
Perhaps decorating the Christmas table with these would be a easier
than the tree thing?
USING OTHER QUILT STORE MERCHANDISE IN YOUR DISPLAY
*Ribbons, buttons, charms, braids, luxury fabrics have their place
here
*Buy in an array of small gifts and Xmas treats for stocking stuffers.

table with at least twenty five fillers in your collection. Your
choices could be to suit fabric lovers, kids, men & women -
to cover all bases!
*There are many Xmas patterns, books, leaflets and fabrics available.
Choose a selection and have fun decorating with them.
