Xmas Treez Teaching Notes
*They don’t get much easier than these two blocks! So much so
that I haven’t encountered problems with either - yet.
*With the lack of problems then, there is time for brains to get creative:
It may be in settings.
It may be in decorating the Xmas Treez.
It may be in decorating the Prezziez.
It may be in creative fabric choices.
*I have made Prezziez versions that have three dimensional ribbonz,
tied in bows. I have made another version that gives the block a ‘pocket’
which makes the Prezziez block ideal for advent calendars. Both of
these techniques will be explained and illustrated in Samplerz #4
- Prezziez Advent Calendar, available soon.
*Instead of cutting tinsel and ribbonz from patchwork cottons, why
not introduce the luxury of slippery fabrics - silks, satins etc.?
Using real ribbons and braids would also be wonderful.
