Give The Dog a Bone Quilt Instructions

QUILT SIZE: 24 1/4” x 20” (62cm x 51cm)

DOG BLOCKS
Make three 8” Dogz blocks with varying features;
one with a stocky body, short round flappy earz pleated and stitched in the side seam,
one with a skinny body and pointy earz,
one with an average body and long flappy earz stithed above the head.
Stitch them together.

BONE BLOCKS
Make a small, medium and large bone block.
Trim the Large bone down a little more than usual, to 11 1/2” x 8”.
Stitch a filler, 9 1/2” x 2 1/2” to the bottom of the medium bone.
Stitch a filler, 4 1/2” x 2 1/2” to the top of the small bone - standing it on its end.
Stitch the blocks from left to right medium, small, large.

FENCE
Following the instructions on page 10, cut seven Pickets and two Railz units.
Stitch together to form a unit 24 1/2” unfinished size. You may need more railz or picketz, make them as necessary.
Stitch the dogz, fence and bone sections together.

FINISHING/QUILTING
Sandwich.
Machine quilt around the dogz, their neckz, the fence and the bonez in the ditch. Free machine quilt starz in the sky plus curls and grass below.
Stitch on eyez.
