BLOCK SIZE: 8”, 48 needed
CENTRE BLOCKS
Make forty-eight blocks.

Cut forty-eight 6 1/2” squares.
Stack them face up.
Slice them from cornerish to cornerish.
Switch the trianglez to make forty-eight pairs. We kept our pairs
in the same color families.
Stitch the trianglez back together. Press.
Trim each trianglez unit to shape. Make sure that it is crooked!
framez
Cut forty-eight framez.
For each frame you’ll need;
two sides - 2 1/2” x 6 1/2”
a top & bottom - 2 1/2” x 9 1/2”
Stitch the sides to the trianglez units. Press.
Trim the top and bottom edges to straighten and shape.
Stitch on the top and bottom. Press.
Trim each block to 8 1/2” square.
STITCHING THE BLOCKS
Arrange the blocks in a pleasing six by eight set. Stitch together.
INNER BORDER
Cut and join fabric to make;
Two sides, 1 1/2” x 64 1/2”. Stitch on.
A top and bottom 1 1/2” x 50 1/2”. Stitch on.
OUTER BORDER
Cut and join fabric to make;
Two sides, 3 1/2” x 66 1/2”. Stitch on.
A top and bottom 3 1/2” x 56 1/2”. Stitch on.
TO FINISH
We ditch stitched around the borders, blocks, framez and trianglez.
The framez and borders were then lightly quilted, freehand, with
various double stitched patterns
